HALL-OF-FAME
SEASON 84 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
VANBRONKHORJSTHOF.png

HENRY VAN BRONKHORJST - MF

Venetian Reds

333 matches, 139 points,

47 goals, 92 assists, 109 x-11s (5 captains) (first ballot)

Henry Van Bronkhorjst, aka HVB, aka 'The Heartbreak Kid' might be one of the most accomplished players in Big Soccer League history. Bronkhorjst holds not one, but two BSL records. His 92 assists are the most in league history and Bronkhorjst led his division in assists six times over an astonishing 24-year career. HVB, the ageless wonder also holds the BSL record for matches played with 333. The previous mark, 301, held by Worthington's Dwayne Hampton was thought by many to be untouchable. Among his many accolades, most notably, HVB helped Venetian Reds to four BSL titles and the Season 80 Diamond Jubilee Cup.

GULSENHOF.png

VELI GULSEN - D

Oglala Sioux

212 matches, 27 points, 8 goals, 19 assists, 96 x-11s (30 captains) (first ballot)

Stout and strong, Veli Gülsen was the glue, or more aptly, the peanut butter, sticky and substantive, to the Oglala Sioux defense. Gülsen won two MVPs (Seasons 80 & 81) and led his division in assists in Season 83. Gülsen led the Sioux to two Finals appearances, including a BSL title in during a magical run in Season 80, his MVP season. Known for his prolific heading ability, Gülsen plans to attend medical school to become a brain surgeon.

ALFAMAHOF.png

OSCAR ALFAMA - D

FC Borussia Berlin

48 matches, 28 points, 8 goals, 20 assists, 95 x-11s (29 captains) (first ballot)

Did you know Óscar Alfama is a 3-time MVP? I didn't! I had to look it up! No doubt, in just 148 matches the Blues defender made the X-11 nearly 65% of the time he took the pitch. Alfama captured MVPs in Seasons 79, 80 & 82 and nearly won again in Season 81. Though he played just 11 seasons, Alfama retires 2nd all-time in FCBB history for x-11s and 1st all-time in x-11 captains. There's no doubt that Alfama was a true franchise cornerstone.

SEASON 85 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
BONEHOF.png

KEN BONE - F

Erotic City FC

232 matches,

97 points, 66 goals, 31 assists, 59 x-11s

With a too-tight red cable knit sweater and a cheap white collar dress shirt, Ken Bone burst onto the scene back in 2016. He quickly wore out his welcome, became a bit too full of himself and his 15 minutes of fame, and was almost nearly forgotten by a society that rips through memes faster than a Great Dane goes through chew toys. Coincidentally, another man by the name of Ken Bone also played for Erotic City FC. He helped the club transition to the Land of Lust from their previous pastoral home in Belgium. Bone never reached the hype he was supposed to, but he still had a decent career. In his post-playing career, Bone has decided to go into, you guessed it - the adult entertainment industry.

STONEHOF.png

STEVEN STONE - MF

Kingdom FC

219 matches,

83 points, 49 goals, 34 assists, 45 x-11s (9 captains)

Considered to be Kingdom's first true franchise player, Steven Stone enters his final season as the club's all-time leader in matches, points, goals and assists. Simply put, you can't ask for more from a player than what Stone has given Kingdom FC in his 21 seasons. With Stone, Kingdom FC made the BSL's Final Four twice and won two division championships. The Kingdom would not have been built without Stone's bricks.

FLEMMINGHOF.png

MIKE FLEMMING - MF

FC Roblar

237 matches,

66 points, 30 goals, 36 assists, 74 x-11s

(2 captains)

In a long line of great Roblar players, Mike Fleming is a throwback to a bygone era of Roblar dominance. Fleming played 20 seasons for FC Roblar, led his division in goals twice (S69 & S71) and then led his division in assists in Season 78 after being urged to become more of a playmaker and less of a finisher. Most importantly, Fleming led Roblar to four division titles and Roblar's first title in more than 20 seasons, the Season 74 Championship (Roblar hadn't won since Season 52).

DIETZHOF.png
PITBULLHOF.png

EUGEN DIETZ - MF

Lisbon Ravens

248 matches,

69 points, 29 goals, 40 assists, 52 x-11s (2 captains)

The top distributor in the Lisbon Ravens attack, 'Double-down' Dietz retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played and is near the top in points, x-11s and assists. Dietz has helped the Ravens to seven division titles and he aims to push the club over the top, once and for all, in his swan song. In his post-playing career, Dietz plans to start a meatpacking company.

ARMANDO CHRISTIAN

PEREZ - D

Erotic City FC

243 matches,

27 points, 11 goals,

16 assists, 62 x-11s

(2 captains)

Born Armando Christian Perez, the steely fullback known for his "International Love" was once described in his rookie campaign as a "pitbull on the pitch" and the nickname stuck for his entire career. Perez's speed was second to none, though he was known for his questionable play when it came to gaining an advantage. Perez was part of a new wave of players establishing a culture in Erotic City. Away from the pitch, Pitbull was a frequenter of EC's finest nightclub, "Timber". At Timber he coined the phrase "Don't Stop the Party" while once downing a shot of "Fireball" followed by a gallon of "Gasolina". As Pitbull would say after a match, "Give me everything tonight," but most importantly, you gave the Season 79 MVP your vote. Dale.

SEASON 86 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
DEMEERSMANHOF.png

LEO DEMEERSMAN - F

Lisbon Ravens

217 matches 80 points,

60 goals, 20 assists,

53 x-11s

Leo 'The Lion' Demeersman will go down as one of the Lisbon Ravens' first franchise cornerstones. Demeersman led the Ravens to seven division titles, four final four appearances and at least one appearance in the BSL Final. Demeersman retires as 2nd all-time in franchise history in goals scored, as well as 3rd all-time in points and x-11 appearances.

FABISIAKHOF.png

KONSTANTY FABISIAK - F

Oglala Sioux

257 matches 95 points,

70 goals, 25 assists,

76 x-11s

The epitome of a

'5 tool player,' Konstanty Fabisiak could really do it all. Pace, stamina, heading ability, elite passing, cool under pressure and good nearly all over the field, Fabisiak was a generational talent for Oglala Sioux. In his 19 seasons at Littie Big Horn, Fabisiak led the Sioux to seven division titles and a BSL Championship in Season 80. Fabisiak also led his division in scoring during Season 82. Heavily decorated and well-deserving, Fabisiak plans to return to his native Poland to start a Bed & Breakfast.

LEROUXHOF.png

ALOIN LE ROUX - MF

Atletico Jersey

219 matches,

275 matches, 95 points, 38 goals, 57 assists,

48 x-11s (3 captains)

A homegrown talent who joined FC Columbia at the age of 16, Aloin Le Roux will likely not get the credit he deserves. Le Roux played 275 matches for Columbia and helped lead the club to a division title in Season 69. Le Roux retires to the French countryside as Columbia's all-time leader in matches played and points, as well as 3rd in franchise history in X-11 appearances. Under his watch, Columbia made two trips to the BSL Final Four.

DELOSBLANCOSHOF.png

GUILLERMO DE LOS BLANCOS - D

Erotic City FC

179 matches, 24 points,

6 goals, 18 assists,

88 x-11s

Better known as 'Billy Blanks' to many of his adoring fans, De Los Blancos came to the Land of Lust on a then-record transfer of nearly 11 million econ at the age of 24. De Los Blancos played 14 seasons at YouTube Red Park, capturing two MVP titles along the way (Seasons 77 & 83). Though he doesn't have the championship pedigree of others in the Hall, De Los Blancos was a stabilizing force for a club that was floundering at the time of his arrival. He managed to make the x-11 nearly half of the time he took the pitch and he led Erotic City to a division title in Season 84. In his post-playing career, he plans to change his name, full-time to "Billy Blanks" and has partnered with a venture capitalist firm to start a new workout trend called, 'Tae Bo'.

GRAVAHOF.png

THOR BLOCK - F

Venetian Reds

311 matches, 202 points, 165 goals, 37 assists,

170 x-11s (12 captains)

Block retires as the BSL's all-time leader in points (202), goals (165) and x-11 appearances (170). He led his division in goals four times (Seasons 80, 85, 86 & 87), and points four times (Seasons 83, 84, 86 & 87). He also led his division in assists once (Season 77). His 311 matches are also just 25 shy of the all-time BSL mark, set by his teammate, Henry van Bronkhjorst.

Despite all those numbers, Block managed just one MVP award (Season 82). Block led Venetian Reds to four (possibly five) BSL titles, 9 championship finals, 13 division titles and a Diamond Jubilee Cup. There's simply been no one like him, before or since.

REEMON JAJA - MF

Lisbon Ravens

280 matches, 93 points, 32 goals, 61 assists, 32 X-11s

Reemon Jaja has seen it all in his 20-year career in Ravens' black. A gritty player, Jaja retires with 64 fouls to his name and a remarkable 280 matches played. He led his division in points and assists in Season 82. Jaja helped the Ravens to seven division titles (including six in a row) and the Season 85 BSL Championship. Jaja made the BSL Final Four five times and played in two BSL Finals.

JAYDEN WOODS - D

Anfield Junkyard Dawgs

280 matches, 93 points, 32 goals, 61 assists, 32 X-11s

A cornerstone of the Anfield 2.0 rebuild, Woods joined the club in its last season of glory under Anfield 1.0. He then saw 14 straight seasons outside the BSL playoffs, including quite a few in the BSL cellar. Woods closed his career with 4 straight playoff appearances and led Anfield to the top overall seed (and maybe more) in his final season. Woods captured an MVP award in Season 87. He retires 2nd all-time in matches played for Anfield.

GARASARIO GRAVA - GK

FC Borussia Berlin

280 matches, 93 points, 32 goals, 61 assists, 32 X-11s

Grava's induction stirred controversy in BSL circles. Grava has just 19 x-11s in 219 matches (not even 10%), but also had 98 clean sheets in those 219 matches (nearly 45%). Grava's career save percentage is a sterling 70% as well. Grava played an astonishing 20 seasons, to the age of 40 at the time of his retirement. He helped lead FCBB to nine playoff appearances including two trips to the BSL Final Four.

HAMILTONHOF.png

GODFREY COLE - MF

Venetian Reds

286 matches, 182 points, 107 goals, 75 matches,

99 x-11s (4 captains)

The ultimate five-tool midfielder, Godfrey Cole could really do it all. Cole was pacey, never cracked under pressure and could run for days. He also had incredible shooting power and delicate touch on the set piece. Cole led his division in goals three times (Seasons 78, 81 & 83) and points three times (Seasons 78, 80 & 81). Though Cole was often overshadowed by other greats of the Venetian dynasty, his contributions to four BSL title teams and 14 division title winning clubs. Cole retires 4th all-time in match appearances and 2nd all-time in points (trailing only the great Thor Block) and 2nd all-time in assists.

COLIN MALCOLMSON - D

FC Roblar

219 matches, 11 points,

1 goal, 10 assists, 79 x-11s (10 captains)

Here's to Colin Malcolmson, a four-time runner up for BSL Division MVP and 3-time BSL champion. Malcolmson also helped Roblar to six division titles in his 19 BSL seasons. Malcolmson's contributions to the Roblar franchise were truly invaluable. In his post-playing career, the Roblar great says he'd like to get involved in coaching and will likely have many teams lining up to give the great a top assistant job.

DUSTIN HAMILTON - GK

Viking Warriors

101 matches,

52 clean sheets,

77% career save pct.,

2 goals, 82 x-11s

(52 captains)

Talk about an underrated BSL legend. Dustin Hamilton came onto the scene and won three consecutive division MVP awards in Seasons 83, 84 & 85. Though he only played eight seasons, Hamilton led the franchise (then known as AS Borealie) to its only BSL title to date and two BSL title game appearances. Hamilton also made the x-11 in 82 of his 101 matches on the pitch (and was captain of the x-11 team half of the time he played). His 52 captain appearances were also equal to the exact number of clean sheets he had in his career.

LIEHOF.png

LEONARD LIE - MF

FC Roblar

259 matches, 82 points, 38 goals, 44 assists, 70 x-11s, (17 captains)

You can call him late, you can call him loathsome, but whatever you do, don't call him a 'liar'. Leonard Lie patrolled the Roblar engine room for seventeen seasons. Along the way, the 4-time BSL champion captured six division titles and a host of other accolades. In a long line of Roblar greats, Lie has the fourth most appearances of any player to wear the green and black - and that's no lie! In his post-playing career, Lie plans to join - and you can't make this up (unless I did), the family law firm of personal injury attorneys.

BASTOSHOF.png

MANU BASTOS - D

FC Camus

270 matches, 22 points, 8 goals, 14 assists, 42 x-11s (1 captain)

Many think R&B artist Aloe Blacc's 2013 pop hit 'The Man' was written for a headphones commercial involving American football star Colin Kaepernick, however few know the truth. The catchy track was first written for Manú 'The Man' Bastos - legendary defender for FC Camus. 'The Man' was a fearless centerback who retires following 18 seasons with the Philosophers. Bastos will never have to buy a drink in a Camus pub again after leading FC Camus to the BSL Title in Season 88 - a historic run for the Camus faithful, the club's first title since Season 13, and the club's first ever title in the modern era of the BSL. Camus would not be a top BSL club without Bastos' contributions.

MACEDOHOF.png

PEDRO MACEDO - D

Goldstrikers 80

241 matches, 21 points,

4 goals, 17 assists,

105 x-11s (23 captains)

No team in the league breeds defenders like Goldstrikers 80, and Pedro Macedo is the latest and greatest of this lineage. Macedo played 16 seasons for the Gold ones and helped deliver three straight division titles for Goldstrikers (Seasons 80-82). During that run, Macedo led Goldstrikers to the BSL Final in Season 80. Macedo retires 2nd all-time in matches played for Goldstrikers and first all-time in X-11 appearances, and there isn't a close second.

His career-year in Season 85 coincided with a division title in the Special 'Breakfast Club' division and a quarterfinal appearance in the BSL playoffs. Vaandrager retires with two BSL titles, the first of which he won in his first campaign with the club. In his 21 seasons with the club, Vaandrager helped Gundas to six division titles. He retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played. Vaandrager is also 3rd in points and goals scored at the time of his retirement. Wilhelm also racked up an impressive 63 yellow cards and 4 red cards in his career, while regularly leading the league in both categories. In his post-playing career, Ahlin plans to stay stateside to open a Bounty-hunting business and possibly deal with shady characters and make shady deals.

ESTEN RØKKE - MF

FC Roblar

270 matches,
65 points, 25 goals, 40 assists, 59 x-11s
(5 captains)

The Danish Dandy, Esten Røkke was also known as 'The Rook' (his name is pronounced row-kay) for his ability to quickly move in a straight line from one side of the pitch to the other. Røkke was, most importantly, a four-time Big Soccer League Champion, a winner of the Diamond Jubilee Cup, a seven-time division champion and a runner-up for MVP. In a long line of Roblar greats, Røkke is third all-time in matches played for the club at the time of his retirement.

A rare keeper with nearly all the special qualities you could want, Ousmanjyij posted a clean sheet in nearly half of the matches he played in. Ousmanjyij was a Season 83 runner-up for MVP and led his team to nine playoff appearances. Ousmanjyij was also on the fabled Season 80 squad that made it all the way to the BSL Final.

In his time with the club, Camus made 14 playoff appearances, four BSL Final Fours, won two division titles and captured the Season 88 BSL Championship at the peak of Aires' powers. Aires was a Season 90 MVP, led his division in goals scored three times (Seasons 88, 85 & 78), led in points twice (Seasons 90 & 88) and assists once (Season 81). Aires retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played and x-11 appearances, and is second in club history in points at the time of his retirement. Long live The Ram!

CEREJEIRAHOF.png

HERMINIO CEREJEIRA - MF

(7 captains)

Herminio 'The Cerebral' Cerejeira retires as Wolverines SC's all-time leader in matches played. Cerejeira also retires as WSC's all-time leader in assists. Cerejeira was unceremoniously shipped out prior to Season 89, but his contributions are not forgotten. Cerejeira was a key man in the engine room for all three of Wolverines' Big Soccer League titles to date.

BOYERHOF.png

LOWELL BOYER - D

FC Roblar

257 matches, 25 points, 7 goals, 18 assists, 123 x-11s

(46 captains)

If you're looking for accolades it's tough to look back Lowell Boyer, who has quite a few. Boyer was a 3-time BSL MVP (Seasons 89, 87 & 86) and a 4-time runner-up for MVP. In 19 seasons Boyer was on 7 division title-winning teams and 4 BSL Championship squads. Boyer's 123 x-11 appearances are 2nd-most all-time in Roblar history at the time of his retirement. Few players dominated the pitch when they played as much as Boyer did from his centre back position.

SEASON 93 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
BANNERMANhof.png

TONY BANNERMAN - F

FC Roblar

314 matches, 101 points, 81 goals, 20 assists, 110 x-11s
(3 captains) (80% of vote)

As legend has it, when 17-year-old Tony Bannerman walked onto the pitch of John Crain Field for the first time he told reporters, "When I retire, they'll hang a banner for me here." Twenty three seasons later, the Bannerman may be right. A Season 82 MVP and multiple time MVP runner-up, Bannerman retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played and his other numbers put him in rare air with the greatest Roblar players of all-time. During his time with the club, Bannerman won four BSL titles, ushering in a run of success not seen since the early days of Roblar's league dominance. Bannerman captured eight division titles and missed the playoffs just twice in his career.

ANDREW MONTOYA - D

FC Roblar

(12 captains) (82%, first ballot)

The most accomplished player of this seasons' nominees in terms of x-11 appearances, Montoya was a 5-time MVP runner-up in his career. He also captured three BSL titles along the way. Montoya retires 7th all-time in matches played and 6th all-time in x-11s in Roblar history, which, given Roblar's stable of historic talent,

is quite impressive.

WILKINShof.png

TOMAS WILKINS - D

Forest Albion FC

258 matches, 16 points,

3 goals, 13 assists, 70 x-11s (17 captains)

Forest red and blue, through and through, Tomas Wilkins was a 2-time MVP (Seasons 86 & 88) and a cornerstone at left back for the franchise. In Wilkins' early career Forest Albion made three trips to the BSL Final Four. Poor management and apathy from the club board put Wilkins in a bad position later in his career, but he was still a remarkable player who helped Forest Albion to three division titles.

CANTANTEhof.png

HENRIQUE CANTANTE -D

Chicago Rowdies

323 matches, 68 points,

34 goals, 34 assists,

65 x-11s (11 captains)

Henrique 'The Crooner' Cantante, was, much like his surname suggests, known for the smooth sound of his voice, especially in song. For as much as he sang, he was often serenaded by supporters for his outstanding play on the pitch. Cantante played 23 seasons for a franchise in transition and is widely considered to be the club's first, and to-date, only franchise player. Cantante joined the club, then known as Southeast Nineteen as a youth. Cantante blossomed under the direction of manager Cadomaracki as the club moved to Louisiana and became known as the Beachmarsh Clamdiggers. A move to the Windy City as the Chicago Rowdies saw more success and some frustration in the twilight of his career. Though Cantante missed the postseason more than he made it, he also was on three BSL Final Four teams and nearly won the title in Season 87. He retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played (and it's not even close) and assists.

CERQUEIRAhof.png

FABIO CERQUEIRA - D

Fábio Cerqueira, known as the 'Portuguese Oak' to Wolverines supporters, was an integral part of three BSL championship squads. Cerqueira was also a 4-time runner up for MVP within his division. Cerqueira made the x-11 squad more than 30% of the time he took the pitch. Like his Wolverines' counterpart, Edward McDougal, Cerqueira never missed the playoffs in his entire career. In his post-playing career, the Old Oak plans to lend his name to a Portuguese housewares startup that plans to rival Ikea.
