HALL-OF-FAME
SEASON 66 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
CRAIG TYLER - F
Tres Gringos
158 matches, 65 points, 43 goals, 22 assists,
39 x-11s
Craig Tyler was unceremoniously sold before his tenure with Tres Gringos could come ot an end. He played 15 seasons in purple and gray and retires 3rd all-time amongst Tres Gringos forwards in points. In his message to voters, Tyler said, "We may all have Simple Minds but don't you, forget about about me!"
LESTER NYGAARD- MF
El Paso Sol
231 matches, 66 points, 19 goals, 47 assists, 85 x-11s
Perhaps the best of El Paso's golden aged midfield, Lester Nygaard led his division in assists three consecutive seasons (63, 64, 65) and was the Season 60 MVP. He retires as the franchise leader in matches played and assists and is also second in x-11 appearances and fifth in points. During Lester's reign, El Paso won four BSL titles and has a chance for a fifth. Of all the strong players in the engine room for the Sol, he may have been the best.
CHARLES MCLEAN - D
Venetian Reds
241 matches, 34 points,
8 goals, 26 assists,
85 x-11s (17 captains)
McLean played 22 seasons for the Venetian Reds. He was 40 years old before he finally decided to hang it up. Much like the legendary John McClane, you might say he "Died Hard." On a more serious note (forgive the author, he's written a lot of these over the years), McLean led his division in assists in Season 60. He also retires third all-time in matches played for the legendary Venetian Reds franchise. Under his watch, McLean helped the Reds to three BSL titles and nine division championships.
HARVEY MCDOUGALD- GK
Goldstrikers 80
183 matches, 32 x-11s
McDougald was the backbone of famous Goldstrikers defense for 18 seasons. In that time, he led the club to three postseason appearances.
His 32 x-11 appearances are fifth all-time in club history at the time of his nomination. Ever the Scotsman, McDougald had a cheeky sense of humor and was sometimes known to wear a kilt underneath his kit for special matches.
SEASON 67 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
TREY HUTCHINSON
- MF
New Belgium FC
170 matches, 55 points, 30 goals, 25 assists, 57 x-11s (12 captains)
Trey "Hutch" Hutchinson was sold out of the league on the transfer market before his actual retirement, but he still left behind a lasting legacy. Hutch won five Championships with New Belgium, including a remarkable four in a row from Seasons 53-56. Hutch retires 3rd all-time in club X-11 appearances and tied for first in X-11 captains. Simply put, his time was brief, but he was truly great.
DODD GERHARDT
- MF
El Paso Sol
215 matches,
77 points,
45 goals,
2 assists,
57 x-11s
The sun has shined brightly on Gerhardt in his BSL career. Gerhardt was an integral part of the El Paso Sol dynasty that won four BSL Championships from Season 57 to Season 63. Gerhardt led his division in points in that final championship season (63), and retires as the club's all-time leader in points, as of Season 65. Gerhardt also retires tied for fourth in appearances and fourth in x-11 appearances. Indeed, El Paso would not have been the same club without Gerhardt in the engine room.
JEZ ACOMBLEY - MF
Venetian Reds
234 matches, 87 points,
35 goals,
52 assists,
81 x-11s
(3 captains)
Mr. Longevity has an incredible book of stats to back up his claim to the Hall. Acombley played an astonishing 20 seasons for Venetian Reds. His 234 matches is a record for the BSL's modern era. For comparison, current record holder for matches, longtime Worthington keeper Dwayne Hampton, played entirely before the league's 10-game season, sometimes playing in seasons that were 20 matches long! Acombley never had that luxury, and still managed to fall just 66 games shy. Acombley's assist total, 52 in all, is also near the all time BSL mark of 64, set by Goldstrikers' Murilo Ferer, who again, didn't play in the modern era. Acombley led his division in assists twice, but despite his 81 x-11 appearances, never won a division MVP.
BILLY MITCHELL - D
Delirium FC
197 matches,
16 points,
5 goals,
11 assists,
74 x-11s
(7 captains)
He's gone by many names, "The Gamer," "The King of Kong," and "Captain America," among others, but Billy "Pac-Mac" Mitchell will be remembered for much more than his various monikers. Mitchell developed a reputation as a dirty player in the BSL and a cheater to some of his fiercest opponents. Still, the man who legally changed his initials to "U.S.A." has a BSL MVP to his name (Season 60). Mitchell also finished as a runner-up in the MVP race two other times. He retires 5th all-time in X-11 appearances for his club. In his post-playing career, Mitchell says he plans to spend most of his days at Twin Galaxies arcade in Ottumwa, Iowa.
PAR SKOOG - D
FC Camus
221 matches, 25 points, 1 goal, 24 assists,
85 x-11s,
(37 captains) (4x MVP)
With respect to all the other players on this list, Par Skoog seems like a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. Arguably Camus' best player in a generation, Skoog retires as the club's all-time leader in X-11s and X-11 captains. He also retires 2nd all-time in matches played, behind only the legendary Frederick Ivergard, an inaugural member of the BSL Hall of Fame. Skoog played 22 seasons for Camus and won four consecutive MVPs from Seasons 62-65. Skoog also led Camus to the club's only BSL Finals appearance in the modern era, in Season 64, and has a chance to do so again in his final season.
RAFAEL HUNTER - D
New Belgium FC
209 matches, 23 points,
4 goals,
19 assists,
60 x-11s
(10 captains)
A truly dominant defender and a consummate professional, Hunter's 60 x-11s are second all-time in a long list of NBFC players. Hunter was the Season 56 Southern Division MVP and an integral part of all five NBFC
championships, including a remarkable four in a row (Seasons 53-56). When opposing strikers drifted forward, Rapha was always there to shut them down.
VAN DAMME GUNNYSACK
- GK
Tulla United
192 matches,
67 clean sheets, 70% career save pct.,
18% career penalty save pct.,
83 x-11s
(23 captains)
Arguably the most talented player in the BSL. For the better part of a decade, Gunnysack led the league with an overall skill of 18 for eight seasons, including his final one, into retirement. Amazingly, for all his skill, Gunnysack managed to win just one MVP award (Season 61) and was a runner-up five more times. Gunnysack did lead Tulla to a BSL Final's appearance in Season 57, the club's first after its move from Evolution City. His numbers are no doubt impressive, but given his skill level, one has to wonder if they're also a bit of a disappointment.
SEASON 68 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
IAN WORTHINGTON - F
Delirium FC
232 matches, 162 points, 140 goals, 22 assists, 112 x-11s (21 captains)
Without hyperbole, Ian Worthington may be the greatest player to ever touch the BSL pitch. His 162 points are a BSL record; his 140 goals are a BSL record. Worthington was a 3-time BSL MVP. In his 20-year career, Worthington led his division in scoring nine times. He led his division in points eight times; many of those seasons Worthington was also leading the entire league in scoring as well. Worthington was a part of three BSL Championship teams and nearly hand-delivered two titles on his own. He retires as his club's all-time leader in points, goals and x-11 appearances. In his post-playing career, Worthington aims to become the world's foremost expert on Alexander the Great and Philip II of Macedon. He aims to teach at a public midwestern university.
JONNY FLODIN- MF
West Dulwich C.C.
267 matches, 130 points, 83 goals, 47 assists, 65 x-11s (5 captains)
An incredible story of longevity and performance, Jonny Flodin played an astonishing 24 seasons for West Dulwich Cricket Club. Flodin led his division in points 3 times (58, 62, 65) and scoring twice (58, 64). If the Cricketers had had more postseason success, and if Flodin had stayed around another year, it's possible Flodin could have made a run at Dwayne Hampton's legendary 301 all-time matches played mark, which may never be broken. Flodin was on the roster when the club decided to pick up and move from Reno, Nevada to the now-famous West Dulwich Park Oval - and that was 20 seasons ago! During his time with the club, WDCC only missed the postseason twice, with the last time coming during Flodin's swan song. Flodin retires as his club's all-time leader in matches played, points and goals.
JAN-ERIK MILLQVIST - D
FC Roblar
222 matches, 36 points, 9 goals, 27 assists, 127 x-11s (71 captains)
Jan-Erik Millqvist, or 'JEM' as he was known amongst Roblar supporters is a throwback player to the bygone age of Roblar dominance. Millqvist was a 6-time BSL MVP. He tallied most assists in his division three times (seasons 62, 64, 67) and led his division in points (season 68) and scoring (season 66) once each. Millqvist was a part of 2 BSL Championship squads early in his career, but failed to deliver in his twilight years. In his final season, Millqvist will attempt to finally get the championship he has craved for so long. Millqvist retires as the club's all-time leader in matches played, x-11s and x-11 captains. At the time of this writing, before the quarterfinals, he is two x-11 appearances shy of the all-time mark (129) set by Duane Hills.
ETHAN HANCOCK - GK
Venetian Reds
213 matches, 87 clean sheets, 71% career save pct., 0% career pen. save pct., 83 x-11s (37 captains)
Hancock is the latest in a long line of Venetian Reds star keepers. Hancock was the worthy successor to all-time BSL legend Duane Hills, a 1st ballot BSL Hall of Famer. Hancock actually retires with more matches played than Hills, though not as many x-11 appearances. Still, Hancock was the Season 59 BSL MVP for the UK Division. Hancock's numbers (87 clean sheets in 213 matches, 71% career save pct.) are quite impressive and he also led the Reds to the Season 60 BSL title.
SEASON 69 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
PERRY COX - F
Gundas FC
231 matches, 97 points, 69 goals, 28 assists, 99 x-11s (10 captains)
Few players have meant more to the Gundas faithful than Perry Cox, who spent a remarkable 21 seasons in orange and blue. Cox is a 5-time BSL MVP who led his division scoring once (Season 67), assists twice (59, 66), and points twice (66, 67). That kind of versatility is nearly unparalleled in today's game. Cox was a part of two BSL Championship squads and 11 division title teams. He retires 2nd in franchise points and goals behind only club legend Bobby Moss, who, until recently, held the all-time BSL mark in each category. Cox's matches played are also among the top in club marks, behind only Moss, Alfons Sundqvist and Godfrey Woodman, all of whom are in the BSL Hall of Fame. Cox's X-11 appearances trail only Moss and Sundqvist as well.
LEIF MORTEN-BURAAS - MF
Anfield Junkyard Dawgs
170 matches, 64 points, 27 goals, 37 assists, 50 x-11s (1 captain)
In his 18 seasons in Dawgs' red, Buraas' club went to the postseason 15 times. He had four Final Four appearances under his belt, led his divisions in assists three times and was an MVP once.
OHANZEE DENT - MF
El Paso Sol
240 matches, 56 points, 23 goals, 33 assists,
56 x-11s
Dent played a remarkable 24 seasons under the El Paso sun. He came to the club as a 16-2 youth and retires as a 39-year-old veteran. In his time with El Paso, Dent led his division in assists twice (60, 61). During Dent's historic Season 60, he led his division in points, goals and assists - a feat rarely accomplished. Most notably though, Dent helped lead El Paso Sol to five BSL Championships in his career. Dent retires as El Paso's all-time leader in matches played.
EAMON HATHARWAY - D
Atletico Jersey
186 matches, 23 points, 9 goals, 14 assists, 57 x-11s (11 captains)
There are two ways to play in the BSL: The easy way, and the 'Hatharway.' Known for his aggressive style of play, Hatharway was a brute in the backfield for Atletico Jersey. Jersey fans appreciated his hard-scrabble style and his numbers speak for themselves. Hatharway made the X-11 30% of the time he took the pitch. His 186 matches are fourth best in club history at the time of his retirement, while his X-11s are third and his captancies rank second.
WALTON HEDLEY - D
Anfield Junkyard Dawgs
159 matches, 21 points, 2 goals, 19 assists, 64 x-11s (19 captains)
Hedley played 18 seasons in red for the Anfield Junkyard Dawgs and captured a division MVP award in Season 66. Hedley's 64 x-11s are 2nd most in franchise history, just one shy of the club mark set by Aiden Nielson (who is in the BSL HoF). During Hedley's 18 seasons in the Anfield backfield, the club missed the postseason just twice and also appeared in the BSL Final Four twice.
DOUG
KETTLE - D
FC Roblar
173 matches, 14 points, 2 goals, 12 assists, 68 x-11s (1 captain)
Doug "Pot called the" Kettle or "Dougie Potts" as he was known by his teammates, was a cool as ice defender with a knack for delivering solid crosses and the occasional brilliant set piece. Always the groomsman but never the groom, Kettle finished as a runner-up in MVP voting four times in his career. Kettle was a part of two Roblar championship squads earlier in his career but failed to deliver a BSL Cup in three other finals. Still, five finals appearances in 17 seasons is quite impressive.
WANG CHUNG
- D
Delirium FC
196 matches, 18 points, 7 goals, 11 assists, 71 x-11s (4 captains)
'Everybody have fun tonight; everybody Wang Chung tonight' was the anthem heard for 20 seasons at Huyghe Field. A Season 63 MVP, Chung retires as a 2-time BSL Champion. During Chung's time with Delirium, the club missed the postseason just once in 20 seasons. Additionally, Chung made the X-11 more than a third of the time that he played. His 71 x-11s and 196 matches are both top-ten marks in franchise history at the time of retirement.
SEASON 70 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
NATHANAEL SIMONOT - F
FC Camus
220 matches,
158 points, 129 goals, 29 assists, 76 x-11s
(1 captain)
Simonot's 158 points are just 4 shy of the all-time BSL mark. His 129 goals are just 11 shy of the all-time BSL mark as well, at the time of his retirement. Simonot led his division in points and goals seven times each. He was also a Season 67 MVP. Simonot played an astonishing 23 seasons for the Philosophers, joining the club at age 17 and retiring at age 39. During his time with with Camus, the club made the postseason all but six times. He also led Camus to the BSL Final in Season 64.
SAMUEL TELLQVIST - F
Venetian Reds
244 matches, 125 points, 97 goals, 28 assists, 123 x-11s
(4 captains)
At the time of his retirement, Tellqvist's X-11 appearances, 123 in all, are just seven shy of the all-time BSL mark, set by Venetian Reds' legend, keeper Duane Hills. Tellqvist was a back-to-back MVP in Season 63 and Season 62. He also led his division in goals scored five times. Perhaps more remarkable, Tellqvist's 244 matches played are remarkable in the BSL's modern era. If Tellqvist had played longer (he retired at age 36), he might have had a run at the BSL's all-time mark of 301 matches played. In his tenure with the club, Tellqvist led VR to four BSL finals and a BSL Championship in Season 60.
JAY PETERMAN - MF
Gundas FC
222 matches, 94 points, 35 goals, 59 x-11s, 78 x-11s (26 captains)
As a youngster, Peterman's father apprenticed him to a honey factory in Belize. He fell in love with the chief bee keeper, a horrible hag of a woman with gnarled teeth and a giant wart that she called a nose. Love is truly blind, and as the days went on, that sweet smell of honey in the air forced him to take the horrible creature, and so he did.
As a young man in the Peace Corps, he found his first love: the clothing business, while working to dress the naked natives of the Bantu Besh. In 1979, while traveling in Yangzte in searhc of a Mongolian horsehair vest, he fell under the spell of opium, the white lotus, yam-yam or Shanghai Sally, as it is often called.
With the fire of a thousand white lotuses coursing through his veins he took to Pamplona. It was in Spain that his live truly changed. Running from the bulls, as fast as he could - in Italian cap toe oxfords, he was spotted by a scout for Gundas FC. The scout knew it was talent, and not the shoes. The shoes were sophisticated yet different; nothing to make a huge fuss about. Rich dark brown calfskin leather. Matching leather vent. Men’s whole and half size 7 through 13. Price: $135.00.
The scout signed Peterman to a youth contract, despite his advanced and unknown age. The rest is history.
Peterman played 20 seasons for Gundas FC. Peterman never won an MVP, but he did lead his division in assists four times and carried his club to the Season 69 BSL title.
Before every match he entered the stadium wearing what he referred to as the 'Urban Sombrero' which he claimed, "combined the spirit of Mexico with a little big city panache."
In his post playing career, Peterman has long said he plans to take up residence in the far east.
"You most likely know it as Myanmar," Peterman recently told reporters, "But it will always be Burma to me."
AKBAR YAZAN - D
West Dulwich CC
238 matches, 18 points, 6 goals, 12 assists, 108 x-11s (14 captains)
Yazan! More like Shazam! Gifted with the speed of Mercury, Akbar Yazan was a 3-time MVP for the West Dulwich Cricket Club. Yazan made the X-11 an astounding 45% of the time he took the pitch. Want more? In 21 seasons with West Dulwich, Yazan helped lead his club to 5 BSL Championship games and the club's only BSL title in Season 61. Yazan's 238 matches are 3rd all-time in franchise history, at the time his retirement, and his 108 X-11 appearances are second all time in club records.
VM VARGA - GK
El Paso Sol
103 matches, 56 clean sheets, 81% career save pct., 53 x-11s
Known for his poor dental hygiene, sloppy overbite and propensity to wear ugly, beltless trench coats, known as 'Executives'. Varga helped lead El Paso Sol to three BSL Championships (Seasons 62, 63 & 66). Varga played just 10 seasons in the Land of the Sun but managed to become a club legend and make the X-11 team 51 percent of the time. His 81% career save percentage is among the best in BSL history. He also managed a clean sheet in more than half is matches. Finally, and most bizarrely, Varga never faced a penalty shot in his entire 10 year career.
SEASON 71 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
RAFAEL
SERODIO - F
Anfield Junkyard Dawgs
165 matches,
70 points, 54 goals, 16 assists, 35 x-11s
(2 captains)
Rafael 'Sussudio' Serodio played 16 seasons in bright red for the Anfield Junkyard Dawgs. He led his division in scoring three times (Seasons 61, 65 & 67) and in points once (Season 65). He might have been overshadowed as a striker because of the presence of Ian Worthington in his division (Worthington often led his division in scoring in the same season) and Serodio might have had better numbers had he played elsewhere. Still, it should be noted that under Serodio's watch, the Dawgs ascended to become a perennial playoff contender. They missed the postseason just once (Season 60) with Serodio on the team. Serodio also led Anfield to SEVEN division titles.
MIKE SHUE - F
Genesee Screamers
175 matches,
70 points, 55 goals,
15 assists, 41 x-11s
Supremely intelligent and known to deliver under pressure, Mike 'Don't call me Elisabeth' Shue played 17 seasons for the Screamers. Shue led his division in scoring twice and helped guide the Screamers to 14 playoff appearances, including a BSL Final appearance in Season 60. Shue retires as the club's all-time leader in points and goals.
MARIN KASLJEVIC - MF
Venetian Reds
216 matches,
93 points, 49 goals, 44 assists, 41 x-11s (53 yellow cards)
Dirty player? Maybe. Talented? No question. Marin 'Special K' Kasljevic led his division in points, assists and scoring twice in his career. Yet what he might best be known for was his bruising style of play and propensity to draw the referee's ire. Special K racked up an impressive 53 yellow cards in his career, yet only led his division in bookings once. 'He was the type of player you hated to play against.' One unnamed player told the BSL veterans committee. Kasljevic was a part of four BSL finals matches and one championship team. Every team needs enforcers and Kasljevic was one of the best of his era.
KIERAN
ALLCROFT - MF
FC Camus
206 matches,
73 points, 31 goals, 42 assists, 63 x-11s
Allcroft led his division in assists twice and points once. In 21 seasons with Camus, Allcroft led the Philosophers to 13 appearances in the quarterfinals, including a dream season (Season 64), which saw Camus advance to the BSL Final. That Finals appearance is the club's only championship appearance in the modern era, and the closest Camus has gotten to the title since winning it back in Season 13. At the time of his retirement, Allcroft is 3rd all-time in club assists and tied for 5th all-time in matches played.
ZULFADZLI MARIMUTHU - D
Venetian Reds
259 matches,
25 points, 8 goals, 17 assists, 72 x-11s (4 captains)
Born in Mumbai but raised in London, Marimuthu played a remarkable 23 seasons for the Venetian Reds. A gifted passer, Marimuthu was often in the running for many offensive awards despite being a defender. At the time of his retirement, he ends his career tied for the most all-time matches played for the Venetian Reds. With his support, Venetian Reds earned the BSL title in Season 61. The club also played in four championship games during his tenure.
GOOSE
KILOWATT - GK
Alsager Town
180 matches, 60 clean sheets, 69% career save pct, 23% penalty save pct, 22 x-11s
A real 'spark plug' in the net for Alsager Town, Goose Kilowatt was a part of three BSL Final Four teams. The son of energy magnate, Bernadette 'Mother Goose' Kilowatt, the younger Kilowatt plans to return to his post in the family business following his time in the BSL. It does appear what is good for the Goose is apparently also good for the Gander.
SEASON 72 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
RYAN OAKLEY- F
FC Roblar
211 matches, 57 points, 43 goals, 14 assists, 46 x-11s
Ryan Oakley spent 20 seasons as the star striker for FC Roblar. Oakley was a runner-up for top scorer in his division, four times in his career. During Oakley's career, Roblar never missed the postseason, made 12 trips to the BSL's final four and 3 appearances in the BSL Final. Oakley retires 3rd all-time in matches played for FC Roblar.
MATHIAS FOULON - F
FC Columbia
183 matches, 58 points, 50 goals, 8 assists, 18 x-11s
Foulon played 18 seasons for FC Columbia, and was a runner-up for MVP in season 70. He was 2nd in scoring in his division twice and second in points once. During his tenure, Columbia reached the postseason nine times, including a run to the quarterfinals in Season 69. At the time of his retirement, Foulon is 2nd all-time in franchise history for points and goals.
Lancelot Wynter - MF
West Dulwich C.C.
212 matches, 74 points, 28 goals, 46 assists, 52 x-11s
Wynter came and went, perhaps a little prematurely for West Dulwich CC. Lancelot Wynter was sold from the club prior to the conclusion of Season 72. Still, in his time, he managed to tally 212 caps and 74 points, making the X-11 nearly a quarter of the time he played. Wynter retires 7th all-time in appearances at the Oval.
SEASON 73 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
TOR ADOLFSON - F
Oglala Sioux
167 matches, 41 points,
30 goals, 11 assists
42 x-11s (1 captain)
Transferred at age 34, before he could retire as a member of the Sioux, Tor Adolfson still retired third all-time in club history for both points and goals scored. Torrential Tor, as he was referred to be almost no one, was quite a force up front as the Sioux's lead striker. Adolfson helped deliver the Sioux the BSL title in Season 65.
WARREN CESARE - F
City Islanders FC
171 matches, 43 points,
34 goals, 9 assists,
40 x-11s
Cesare was unceremoniously sacked before the start of Season 71, but that shouldn't take away from his contributions to his club. He retires from the BSL 6th all-time in appearances for City Islanders. He's also 4th all-time in goals and tied for 3rd all-time in X-11 appearances.
DYLAN GAMBLE - MF
New Belgium FC
196 matches, 52 points,
24 goals, 28 assists,
52 x-11s (9 captains)
Few Big Soccer League players ever had a better, or more appropriate name than Dylan Gamble. The risk-taking midfielder made the X-11 more than a quarter of the time he took the pitch. His 196 matches are tied for 3rd all-time in club history at the time of this writing. Gamble was sold at age 33 midway through the season. Many of his club ranks (4th all-time in assists, 5th all-time in x-11s) would no doubt have improved if he had stayed on with the club. Though records could not be verified because of his sale, Gamble was a part of, at minimum, four BSL Championship squads.
WES WRENCH - D
El Paso Sol
196 matches, 11 points,
3 goals, 8 assists,
76 x-11s (36 captains)
Sometimes you just need a Wrench to solve a problem. Wes Wrench was certainly useful to the El Paso Sol over his 17 seasons with the club. Wrench was an MVP runner-up three times in his career. He also managed to tally an impressive 41 yellow cards during his time on the pitch. Wrench's 76 X-11 appearances are 3rd all-time in club marks and his 36 X-11 captains are 2nd all-time in club history. With Wrench leading the way in the backfield, El Paso Sol won an astonishing five BSL titles between seasons 57 and 66. Wrench was a large part of the 'decade of dominance' as it's come to be known in El Paso Sol lore.
SEASON 74 - BIG SOCCER HALL-OF-FAME CLASS
GIANMARCO
PASCHETTA - F
West Dulwich CC
233 matches, 123 points, 99 goals, 24 assists,
137 x-11s (17 captains)
Gianmarco Paschetta deserves your attention, and possibly your vote. Paschetta played 21 seasons at the West Dulwich Park Oval and retires as the all-time BSL leader for X-11 appearances with 137. In his time with the Cricketers, Paschetta led his division in points 3 times (seasons 60, 68, 70) and scoring twice (seasons 60, 70). He was also the Season 70 MVP. Paschetta helped lead his team to the Season 61 BSL title and and 5 division championships as well. He retires as WDCC's all-time leading goal scorer.
ROMEU BORGES - MF
FC Roblar
209 matches, 55 points, 31 goals, 24 assists,
49 x-11s (4 captains)
Borges, known as the 'Portuguese Pistol,' spent 18 seasons in black and green. During his tenure, FC Roblar won 8 division championships and never missed the postseason. Although Borges retires without a BSL title to his name (a rarity for Roblar player) he did bring the team back to the BSL Final Four in his final season, suggesting brighter days are ahead for the team he leaves behind.
GAEL LUBIN - MF
FC Camus

Under new management and with the help of Wetterstrand, Forest has reached the postseason six straight campaigns and has made two trips to the BSL Final Four. Wetterstrand also led his division in points and goals in Season 75, a rarity for a defender. He followed up Season 75 by winning the MVP in Season 76. There's no doubt that Forest Albion is now back again with the elite teams in the league, and it's players like Wetterstrand who got them there. In his post-playing career, Wetterstrand plans to open up "Putte's Putt-Putt" in Bradenton, FL..

Scheerer made the x-11 squad more than half the time he took the pitch (52.7%) and provided a point in nearly 70 percent of his matches. Without hyperbole, Monty Milner really could do it all. Milner's 130 x-11s are among the best in league history, just seven shy of the all-time league record. Milner's 270 matches are 3rd all-time in Venetian Reds history, but would likely be first on almost any other club in the league. Milner's 41 goals are also among the best all-time for a defender. The set piece, the corner, the speed, the power and the endurance, Jupânu was a '5-tool' type player (to use a baseball term) who could really do it all. In fact, Pintassilgo retires just 23 matches shy of the all-time BSL appearance mark of 301, set by Worthington's Dwayne Hampton. The matches mark has come under scrutiny, as Hampton's stats were padded by a season in which the BSL played close to 30 regular season games.
